In conjunction with the DC Sports and Entertainment Commission, the Boxing Information Center (B.I.C.) has made a commitment to provide information on Amateur and Professional boxing back to the Washington metropolitan area.

B.I.C.'s subsidiary, DC Golden Gloves Amateur Boxing (DCGG), is working to promote and sponsor amateur boxing events.

Who is B.I.C. Trying to Reach?

Young men and women between the ages of 13 and 30, especially those youth who may be at risk.

We can help keep them off the streets between the 3pm and 7pm which are the prime hours for criminal activity by young people in this age group.

Through healthy competition, we can help young people develop pride in themselves and instill respect for others.

DCGG can become a stepping stone for greater achievement for DC youth as evidenced by the number of doctors, lawyers, teachers and other professionials who have been Golden Glove boxers.

The Boxing Information Center will promote, organize and sponsor Youth Amateur Boxing Matches and develop special events that bring awareness, recognition and accomplishments achieved in the sport of boxing in cooperation with DC Golden Gloves.
