The Hulbert Flag - Ever since
a 1927 newspaper article said that this flag had been found with some
Revolutionary War documents in a Bridgehampton, Long Island, NY. attic, the
story has persisted that it was created in 1775 for a South Fork Continental
Army company formed by Capt. John Hulbert. It has been known as the Hulbert
flag ever since, though many critics have maintained, that there is no
firsthand evidence that the flag was made in 1775. There is also no evidence
that it was not. Note
the stars are stars of David. This photo is of a reproduction of
the flag.
