Note:   He is said to have built the first log house in Norwalk, Ohio,
in the year 1818 (there is another claim going to show that
there was an earlier house of that kind). he was a cabinetmaker
by trade. After his death, his widow married Samuel Lewis of
Norwalk, Ohio. When he died she went to live with her daughter
Mrs Butler, in Brownhelm, Ohio. (HG)
