capacity for James M Beebe & Company in Boston about 1853. He
removed in 1858, to Brooklyn, New York, where he was one of the
firm of H C and M Hulbert. He left them in 1872, and in 1876
was one of the firm of Merwin, Hulbert & Co of NY. He resided
in 1876 at, Ransom Street, Brooklyn, New York. No children.

Note: He went to New York at the age of 16, engaged with Hulbert,
Wray & Company, and afterwards in business in Brooklyn. In 1873
he removed to South Adams, Mass and in 1875 to Collins Depot
near Springfield, where in 1876 he was agent for the Collins
Paper Co. Resided in 1886 in Chicago, where he was connected
with the Chicago Mortgage Loan Company. (HG)
