Note: One of twins. According to his own statement, he was a farmer,
street car conductor (NYC), truckman, storekeeper, carpenter,
painter, mason, lumberman, river driver, bus driver, and owner
of Sunset Pass Cottages. When a yopung man he went to Illinois
to work on a farm in Galva, one of the Hurlbutt Farms. He died
of coronary thrombosis. His widow resided at 44 East Front St.,
Skowhegan, Maine 04976. (DNH EHH)

Note: He worked for American Express as a truck river in Des Moines.
From 1927-31 he was employed by the J C Penny Co., first in
Rochester then in LaCrosse, Wis., where he was manager of the
shoe department. From 1931-35 he farmed in Missouri, moving to
Minnisota in 1935, where he continued to farm until his death.
He died of a heart attack. His widow remarried in May 23, 1966
to Frank W Sanderson and resided 411 E. 6th St., Northfield,
