[Obituary of Sarah Aye (Mitchell)]

MRS. S.W. AYE DIES SUDDENLY.

A pioneer Resident of Marion County, Ohio.

ZEALOUS WORKER IN THE METHODIST CHURCH.

Resides in Marion & Morrow Counties nearly all of her life--
Mother of seven children, three of whom reside in this city--
A Christian woman gone.

Mrs. Sarah J., wife of William S. Aye, died at 10 o'clock this morning
at her home on Mount Vermon Avenue.
Not more than two minutes before she drew her last breath the aged
woman had been seemingly in the best of health and had been talking
happily with her daughter, Mrs. Nelson Campbell.
During the conversation with her daughter, Mrs. Aye complained of a
sudden illness. Seeing that her mother was becoming faint, Mrs.
Campbell took the aged woman in her arms and laid her on a couch.
Before the daughter could realize that her mother was seriously ill she
expired.

The death of Mrs. Aye is thought to be due to an attack of stomach
trouble, to which she had been subject. Her health, recently, had
apparently been excellent.
Mrs. Aye was seventy-six years of age & was widely known,
having lived in this vicinity during the greater part of her life. She
was zealously religious & had been a worker in the Methodist
church since girlhood.

Mrs. Aye was born in Ross County, Ohio but came to this county with her
parents when a child. After becoming the wife of Mr. Aye, she lived
for many years in Morrow County, a short distance east of the Marion
county line. Ten years ago she came with her husband to this city.
Besides her husband, who is seventy-nine years of age, Mrs. Aye is
survived by four children. The children are Mitchell Aye of
Manhattan, Kansas; M.C. Aye, Mrs. Nelson Campbell & Mrs. W.S.
Myers of this city. Two children died in infancy, and one son,
Morris Aye, died several years ago.

FUNERAL OF MRS. WILLIAM S. AYE
Services are held at the Adelaide M.E. Church
The remains of Mrs. William S. Aye were taken from the late home at
No. 1004 Mount Vermon Avenue, to Adealide at noon today and the
funeral service was held at 1:30 o'clock at the Adelaide Methodist
church. The body was interred in the Adelaide cemetery.
The service was in charge of Rev. D.H. Bailey, pastor of Epworth M.
E. Church, and was attended by many of the friends and relatives of
the desceased from this city and the eastern part of the county. [S92]
