A memorial is placed in the Wethersfield, Ct. Cemetery in her memory. Whe n Lucy married Ashbel, she was living in Rocky Hill, town of Wethersfield , Ct. She died giving birth. The infant died age 22 days, probably 29 day s and is a twin of Lucius Blinn.

Notes

According to the Racine County Wisconsin history; Spencer, Ira and Cepha s went to California "to farm and mine" in the 1850's, apparently they we re caught up in the gold fever of the Gold rush to California. They retu rned to Racine Co. by the mid 50's. Later they each migrated to La Cross e County, all farming in the Burns area. All three, along with their fam ilies, are buried in the Burns Cemetery outside of Burns, WI. As noted e lsewhere in the Hulbert genealogy, Hiriam and Velura also were in Califor nia in 1862. So, perhaps all five went out somewhat together, though th e 3 brothers (Spencer, Ira and Cephas) did not go west together, but rath er about a year apart.

His death certificate states birth as March 20, 1831 and death as Marc h 11, 1911. It further states he was 79 years, 9 months, 21 days old. I f we use the death date, his birth date would be May 18, 1831. Informatio n about Cephas' death was found in the Walworth County Courthouse and th e Walworth County History.
