Notes

Chauncey and Hannah had two children who died in infancy. Twelve remaine d ad listed on family pg. He was reared on a farm in Wethersfield, Ct. . In his youth he learned the trade of shoemaker, tanner and currier ser ving a seven year apprenticeship. He Moved to jEdwards, N. Y. as a youn g man (abt. 1812) and then to Fowler, N. Y. in abt. 1820. I have two dif ferent dates for the birth of Chauncey, one being 9/15/1787 and the othe r being 1792. Most of the information on the descendents of Chauncey an d Hannah was obtained at the County Clerk's Office in Allegan, Mi. (In th eir birth, marriage and death records. Also some of it was obtained of f of cemetery markers [S717]
