Notes

We do not know a lot about William Morehouse but he was apparently a lawy er, and of poor health. He may not necessarily have been from New York St ate, though at this time we are going with the assumption that he was. Ou r information was obtained mostly orally from Marg Boies.
To my knowledge, the Morehouses have not maintained any relationship wit h Florence HURLBURT after the death of William in 1915. We also do not kn ow if he practiced law for many years before his death.
GOAL - obtain a death certificate for William Morehouse
We found on the LDS web site ( 09/16/99 ] that a William Morehouse of Ne w York born about 1865 married a Hattie BURTON (AFN: 23WT-FWB). No othe r detail is given other than Hattie BURTON, was also of New York. Posibl y Morehouse was married before.
The 1860 Census Index reports numerous MOREHOUSE: Morehouse, William NY S ENECA CO. TYRE 177 1860; [ other MOREHOUSE (s) were Alanso; Albert; James ; Joseph, these individuals were from: Seneca Falls, Covert, and Tyre, wi th William residing at Tyre.
