Rose Mary Mitchell's is of Canadian/ English ancestry. She along with he r siblings were "farmed out."
She would later migrate from Canada to Michigan. She wanted to meet "a m an of means/ secuity" which was a man with farm land, after a childhood o f poverty. She said once of her marriage: "we both got what we wanted. " Rose Mary later became a ladylady, during the depression. Her husand Al bert was first a farmer then later in life became a landscaper. Rose Mar y was the "Martha Stewart" of her day, she did a lot of cooking. She wa s "cute as a button" in her younger days. One family story goes like this :

"one day one of her grandchildren did something naughty. All three grand aughters denied doing anything wrong. So she decided to spank all three o f the children. Her thinking was: "that way, I got the right one!" lol Th e life lesson worked, they never did it again."
